First thing you need when setting up a passkey is to make sure that you have the Microsoft Authenticator app downloaded.

Once you have made sure you have the Authenticator app, you either need to sign in for the first time or if you are already logged in then you need to just create the Passkey.

If you this is your first time signing in

For your first time logging into the app follow these steps.

1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile phone. And click the button that says to sign in with "Work or school account", then click "sign in". If you don't see that, click the "+" button on the top right.

2. Once you have signed in, it will have you create the passkey.

Once you click "Done" the Passkey has been created and you are all set!

If you have already logged into the Authenticator app before.

If you have already logged into the Authenticator app before the process will be a little different than if you were logging in for the first time.

1. You will see your work account on the main page of the app, click on the app and you will have more options.

2. Then click the "Create a passkey" button. And it will have you sign into your account.

3. Once the passkey is created you will have this page, click "Done" and now you are all set with you new passkey!
