Troubleshooting Wireless Connections

One of the most common issues we see when folks get disconnected from our private wireless networks is that our Guest Network is selected for "Auto-Join" in network preferences and has higher priority than the Private Wireless. When this is the case, your device may disconnect from private wireless to try and connect to Guest. To fix this issue, make sure "Auto-Join" is unchecked for our guest network on your work-provided devices.

Note: The only functional difference between our Guest and private networks is that you can't print or access network resources from Guest. If you don't find that you need access to network resources or print from your work-issued laptop, then you can use the guest network for everything you might need!

1. Open "System Preferences" on your mac and navigate to "Network."

2. Under Wireless select "Advanced."

3. Make sure that "Auto-Join" is unselected for our Guest network.
